2. How to Change Brita Filters

For Brita Pitchers:

Step: – 1

Before installing the new filter, you should soak the new filter in cold water for at least 15 second to activate the carbon and remove unwanted loose carbon particles.

Step: – 2

You will then need to open the lid of your Brita pitcher. The old filter is located in the reservoir. You turn the old filter counterclockwise. This will remove the old filter.

Step: – 3

You will then have to insert the new filter in place of the old filter and rotate the filter clockwise until it locks into place.

Step: – 4

After installing the new Brita water filter, you should run cold water through the filter for a few minutes to flush out any loose carbon particles.

Step: – 5

If your Brita pitcher has a filter change indicator, reset it according to the instructions supplied with your specific model.

For Brita Water Faucet Filter:

Step: – 1

First of all, if Brita water filter unit is connected to the faucet, then stop the water supply of the faucet.

Step: – 2

Then press the release button which will eject the filter cartridge from the Brita filter unit.

Step: – 3

Now place the new filter cartridge in the base of the Brita water filter unit where the old filter cartridge was placed and push down until a clicking sound is heard.

Step: – 4

just run water through the Brita water filter system for 5 minutes to flush it out, which activates the filter media and remove any carbon dust. Now you enjoy the drink clean water.
